Venegolf - Venezuelan American Golf Association is a not for profit, non-governmental, organization incorporated under the laws of The State of Florida by golfers for the purpose of stimulating the interest in the game of golf and to promote a closer bond of fraternity within the Venezuelan-American community.We are active members of the United States Golf Association (USGA), The Florida State Golf Association (FSGA) and The Florida Women’s State Golf Association (FWSGA).
As per regulations of the USGA we are guided by written by-laws and committees to supervise golf activities, we encourage conformance to the rules of Golf set forth by the USGA, we encourage the participation of all individuals to our events and additionally we maintain a uniform handicap system (USGA Handicap System™) GHIN and issue USGA Handicap Index cards to all our active members.
Venegolf organizes weekly (Saturday) games touring around Miami Dade and Broward County best public golf courses. The last Saturday of every month Venegolf runs its “Validas”. Validas are open tournaments of 70 – 90 players competing in different flights and different golf formats in premium upscale Country Clubs. In 2009 Venegolf has plans to convert 4 of these validas into fund raisers for local charities. To this date Venegolf has helped the following non-profit foundations thru these tournaments: March of Dimes (Jan 2005, June 2007), La Ventana de Los Cielos Foundation (Dec 2007, Dec 2008), United Way (June 2005, May 2006, June 2007), Step By Step Foundation (Mar 2008), Damas Salescianas ADS Foundation (Dec 2006, Nov 2008)
